SUNDAY: We are Led in the Appointing and equipping of servants and spiritual leaders By The Holy Spirit.
Jesus was guided by the Holy Spirit to Galilee because the men that The Father wanted to be part of Christ’s mission were there. “As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew ... "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed him. 21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. ...Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him” (Matt 4:18-22:).
The Holy Spirit carefully guides spiritual leaders to people whom God is preparing to serve Him. Philip the Evangelist was guided by the Holy Spirit to the Ethiopian Eunuch, and then “The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it." This man, as history tells, may have been instrumental in bringing the gospel to ancient northern Africa.
Prayer
We soak in the Holy Spirit so that we receive guidance in the appointment, equipping, and assigning of leaders in the church.
